Overview:
The University of York appointed Genco Electrical Projects to carry out a full electrical fit out of their Professional Services Hub 3 building on Innovation Close. Working alongside Lodestone Projects to deliver a complete refurbishment.
The Challenge:
Our team was tasked with delivering a full range of electrical services across the building, designed to meet the University’s high standards for safety, functionality and efficiency.
As this building was vacant prior to the install, we had strip out the majority of pre-existing inefficient lighting and power.
The Solution:
Installing a smart Casambi lighting system which enables easy reconfiguration of lighting zones and energy-efficient operation across the building.
Fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, door entry and disabled refuge systems were all installed to the University’s specifications, ensuring maximum safety and compliance.
Outcomes:
The Professional Services Hub 3 now provides staff and students alike with a modern, safe and flexible workspace across multiple University departments.
